During his reign he saw his father Frederick VIII, his elder brother Christian X, and his nephew Frederik IX ascend the throne of Denmark, in 1906, 1912 (also of Iceland from 1918 to 1944), and 1947 respectively.

Hace 4 días · Ryu Tae-young wrote to King Frederick IX of Denmark, asking for support. Surprisingly, he received an invitation from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 1968 at age 33, Ryu went to study abroad with the Danish government’s scholarship.
