  5. After all , when John was gone; it was Jeff Lynne who was brought in for Free as a Bird and Real Love. It's coincidental, not ironic. Jeff remastered and "stitched together" the voices of the surviving Beatles with the tape that John had left. I don't believe that Jeff performed on the songs at all.
