Hace 2 días · Geoffrey Fitzpiers de Mandeville, Earl of Essex (son of Piers de Lutegareshale and Maud de Mandeville) was born Abt. 1162 in Walden, Essex, England, and died October 14, 1213. He was a prominent member of the government of England during the reigns of Richard I and John.

William de Mandeville, son and successor of Geoffrey, mortgaged the manor to the Crown, and it was granted by Henry I to Eudo Dapifer.
