Hace 4 días · George Montagu Dunk, 2nd earl of Halifax (born Oct. 5/6, 1716—died June 8, 1771) was an English statesman, after whom the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, is named. He was the son of George Montagu, 1st earl of Montagu, to whose title he succeeded in 1739.
