Hace 4 días · On the Thursday before the feast of St. Luke (18th October), 1236, "Gilbert, the Marshal of England, Earl of Pembroke" dated a charter from "London, in the house of the hospital of Runchivalle." This is the earliest reference to the foundation at Charing Cross which has come to light.
