Harold succeeded Edward the Confessor and became King of England in 1066, but he was overthrown and killed in the Norman Conquest.

They had several other brothers and sisters, but their sister Edith is the important one in this story. Edith was the queen, through her marriage to king Edward, the brother-in-law to Harold and Tostig.
