Hace 5 días · It was afterwards acquired by an ancestor of the second Lord Harewood, lord in 1808, and his heir, the present Earl of Harewood, is now the sole landowner in the township. The abbey of Byland obtained a royal confirmation in 1247 of a fishery and lands here.
