Hace 4 días · Borrodaile was imprisoned at Furness abbey for nearly half a year, and a new abbot was elected:—. Thomas Ireby (Jerbye or Yerbye), 1532 to his death on Aug. 10, 1536. His rule is mentioned by John lord Husey to Cromwell, Nov. 19, 1532, as promising a restoration of order at Holm Cultram.

Again in 1194 an agreement was arrived at between the monks of Holm Cultram and the church of St. Michael of Kirkby Thore wherein the abbot and monks were to render the tenth sheaf to the church for all their lands in the parish.

The abbey of Holmcultram had the whole of Lekeley with the exception of the land granted to the nunnery, and the priory of St. Bees had a grant of land in Seton from Henry son of Thomas, which Thomas was at one time parson of Bootle.
