Hace 5 días · John Winston Spencer Churchill, marquess of Blandford, lived there before succeeding to Blenheim in 1857. Thereafter the house was let to tenants, and from c. 1887 was occupied by a small private school. It was dilapidated by 1922, and was demolished in the later 1920s.
