Hace 3 días · John Dudley, Duke of Northumberland, was a powerful figure during the reign of Edward VI. However, his ambition led to his downfall when he attempted to place Lady Jane Grey on the throne after the young king‘s death. Dudley was subsequently beheaded for treason in 1553.
