29 de may. de 2024 · Aubrey de Vere (1137-94), 1st earl of Oxford, granted land in Wivenhoe to Earl's Colne priory. At the Dissolution it was granted to John de Vere, 15th earl of Oxford. About 1180 Richard Battle gave the Knights Hospitallers land on Wivenhoe heath.
