Hace 2 días · The brick and tile works by Kiln Farm may have a long history but cannot be traced back earlier than the last quarter of the 19th century; Cuddesdon Bridge was built of Garsington brick in 1878. (fn. 359) Among Garsington craftsmen were cordwainers, shoemakers, bakers, wheelwrights, tailors, and carpenters.

(fn. 127) A volunteer rifle corps was founded in 1860 with a resident drill instructor and in 1908 it became part of the Territorial Army.
