Hace 4 días · There is a legend, for the truth of which the name of 'Dragon Fields' would once have been held ample proof, that at Bisterne Sir Maurice Berkeley, son of Sir John Berkeley and Elizabeth de Bettesthorne, killed a dragon which had its home on Burley Beacon and greatly vexed the surrounding country.
