Hace 2 días · Primary Source. Robespierre (3 December 1792) Annotation. Maximillien Robespierre, a leading Jacobin deputy in the Convention, had originally opposed the trial, believing that to try the King was to imply the possibility of his innocence.
Robespierre was the greatest leader of the French Revolution, very similar to Lenin in many ways. Basing his support on the urban poor, he was able to solve the land question and even made inroads into capitalist property in order to wage a revolutionary war against the feudal powers of Europe.
