Hace 4 días · It sure is comforting when we come to understand that God forgives. It’s equally comforting to know that He also delivers. In Mathew’s gospel we encounter a man who was not only blind and mute but also demon possessed. Talk about the need for deliverance. And Jesus graciously provides it but it causes a stir.
Jesus forgives sins which only God can do. The only mediator at the time for the Jewish people to reclaim their cleanliness or be forgiven after a trespass offering before God would have been a temple priest after sacrifice. Jesus forgives the sins of the paralytic man lowered into the house to be healed. We see two things here 1.
