La Provenza (en francés: Provence, en occitano: Provença / Prouvènço) es una región histórica y cultural de Francia, también una antigua provincia en el sureste del país que se extiende desde la orilla izquierda del Ródano inferior al oeste, hasta la frontera con Italia, al este, y limita al sur con el mar Mediterráneo.

La Provence est une région au climat méditerranéen avec des étés chauds et secs. Les hivers y sont doux près de la côte, généralement humides à l'est, mais sont plus rudes dans le nord et le nord-est ( massif du Pelat, vallée de l'Ubaye, massif des Préalpes de Digne) où le climat devient alpin.
