Hace 3 días · In 1399 Henry IV granted the honor for life to Ralph Neville, earl of Westmorland, on whose death in 1425 it passed by reversion to John, duke of Bedford (d. 1435). In 1435 Bassingbourn was divided. One-third passed as dower to Bedford's widow, Jacquette de Luxemburg, who retained it until her death in 1471.
