(fn. 53) In 1584 Onslow's son and heir Edward sold the manor to Thomas Owen, a London lawyer, who sold it in 1586 to John Dawes (d. 1595) of Shrewsbury. (fn. 54) The manor remained with his relict Margaret, who married Thomas Jewkes.
