I watched Howard Hawks' Sergeant York (1941) OLD. This film caught my eye because it was the highest grossing picture of 1941, and back then there seemed to be a stronger connection between quality of craft and box office performance. Plus, Howard Hawks is so consistently awesome that I had to see this highly successful film of his.
