Office combined with that of Lieutenant-Governor when Major-General Hutt retired on 31st December, 1886.

The title of Chesterfield is now enjoyed by George Augustus Frederick, a minor, who is the sixth Earl, and only son of Philip, Earl of Chesterfield, who died in 1815.
