Hace 6 días · Im Jahre 1542 schloss sich die Stadt der Reformation an. Im Zweiten Markgrafenkrieg wurde Schweinfurt 1553 durch Markgraf Albrecht Alcibiades von Brandenburg-Kulmbach erstmals besetzt. Infolge des Kriegs wurde die Stadt 1554 geplündert und in Brand gesetzt.
