Hace 4 días · Windsor Castle: The Round Tower from the Roof of St. George's Chapel Extending eastwards from the north side of the Norman gate is the two-storied gallery built for Queen Elizabeth. The lower story contains various offices and passages and has a doorway in the middle surmounted by the initials ER and the date 1583.

The funeral train, consisting of most of the great nobles of the court and their attendants, with the Princess Mary as chief mourner, and 200 poor men wearing the late queen's badge, entered Windsor on the evening of Monday 12 November.
