Diplomacy momentarily forgotten, Llywelyn was fortunate in that his relations with King Henry III, John’s heir and Joan’s legitimate half-brother, remained peaceful despite de Braose’s execution.

Ralph of Wiston, who is recorded in the mid 12th century, and his son William of Wiston who occurs locally between 1181 and 1204, were presumably his descendants.

Hace 1 día · In 1086 Southcote was held by William de Braose. By the early 13th century it had been attached by the Braoses to the honour of Knepp (co. Sussex), of which it was held by Henry Belet. In 1337 a grant of free warren was made to Michael Belet for his demesne lands there.
