Hace 1 día · The 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies was the most recent cycle of the process to redraw the constituency map for the House of Commons. The new constituency borders were approved by the Privy Council on 15 November 2023 and came into law on 29 November 2023.

Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the seat will be subject to boundary changes and will be renamed Belfast South and Mid Down, to be first contested at the 2024 United Kingdom general election.

(fn. 3) There is a public recreation ground, known as Bachelors' Acre, on the north side of Sheet Street, where a revel was held formerly every year.
