In 1335 John of Bohemia renounced his claim in favour of Casimir III the Great, who in return renounced his claims to the Silesia province. This was formalized in the Treaty of Trencin and Congress of Visegrád (1335), ratified in 1339 and later confirmed in the 1348 Treaty of Namysłów.
Hace 6 días · He was crowned king of Poland in the Kraków Cathedral on 17 November. Casimir III had willed his patrimony – including the duchies of Sieradz, Łęczyca and Dobrzyń – to his grandson, Casimir IV, Duke of Pomerania.
