On December 7, 1815, Marshal Michel Ney was executed by firing squad, giving the order to fire himself. 11 bullets struck the marshal, 6 in the chest, 3 in the head, one in the neck and one in the arm. One bullet missed Michel Ney, striking the wall behind him.
