Ten days later he preached his first sermon at Holy Trinity Church in Over Worton (near Banbury, Oxfordshire) while on a visit to his former teacher the Reverend Walter Mayers, who had been curate there since 1823.

Grandpont (between the river and Hinksey Park) is lovely, and is about a 10-15 minute walk to Christ Church. New Hinksey (south of the park) is cheaper and maybe an extra 10 mins to walk.
