For example the German settlement of Silesia, shown in the map, mainly happened in the 13th century when it was a Duchy belonging to the Holy Roman Empire. Same with Pomerania. Also in East Prussia the Teutonic Knights only arrived around 1230, a century later.

Częstochowa is located in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It is the largest economic, cultural and administrative hub in the northern part of the Silesian Voivodeship.
