Not sure I understand this comment - the radio in the 90s was playing Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, STP, and other great rock bands. Hip-hop radio was playing Wu-Tang, Dr Dre, Snoop, Mary J Blige, 2Pac, and Biggie. The radio in the early-mid 90s was actually pretty awesome.
