Brazilian jazz pianist, singer, composer and arranger, double Grammy winner, double Latin Grammy award winner, 12 time Grammy nominee, 3 Gold Disc award winner and 3 time best vocal award winner Eliane Elias will make her India debut at the NPCA Tata Theatre on May 30th, 2024.
The origin story of this instrumental album is intriguing, but not as compelling as the music itself. Mitch Leigh (1928-2014), the Tony-winning composer of the music for the 1964 stage production Man of La Mancha, approached Elias in the mid-1990s and asked her to write and record new arrangements of songs that were included on the original cast recording.
