Afterwards Sir George Hutt, artillery officer and brother of Sir William Hutt, Paymaster-General; distinguished himself at Meeanee and commanded artillery in the Persian war; K.C.B., 1886. Office combined with that of Lieutenant-Governor when Major-General Hutt retired on 31st December, 1886.
