I am currently reading Innocents Abroad, by Mark Twain, Chapter 13, in which Napoleon III and Abdul Aziz, Sultan of Turkey appear before a crowd in Paris. MT seems to adore Napoleon III and has great disdain for Abdul Aziz. Is it simple racism or is there some other reason that he dislikes him so much? Am I missing some sarcasm?
