Smooth work on Shake Sugaree gives Dylan a chance to express his love for the Brenda Evans and Elizabeth Cotten classic with a neat rendition of the folk classic which keeps its soulful tone intact, overhauled by a reliance on electric tone.

You can’t always take your most personal experiences and do that, but Bob Dylan was good at it.

Dylan the amazing wordslinger was usurped by Dylan the conveyor of simple sentiments, and that mad wellspring of dumbfounding verbiage and cryptic wisdom dried up forever.
