15 de may. de 2024 · The 1st Baron's grandson, Ralph Montagu (1638 ?–1709), later created 1st Duke of Montagu (1705), acquired the Boughton estate on the death of his father in 1684. Ralph Montagu was Ambassador in Paris in 1669–72, 1676 and 1678–9.

Hace 5 días · On the death of his widow in 1693 the Winwood estates passed (in accordance with a settlement made by Sir Ralph Winwood) to his nephew Ralph Earl of Montagu, son of Edward Lord Montagu of Boughton and his wife Anne Winwood. He was created Duke of Montagu in 1705 and died in 1709.
