Sarada Devi outlived Ramakrishna by thirty-four years and played an important role in the development of the nascent religious movement.

Nicknamed Rabi at home, he went on to be known as Kobiguru (the poet teacher), Gurudeb (Respectable Teacher), and Biswokobi (Poet of the World). A fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society, he is also known as the Bard of Bengal.
