I think in a similar fashion to how our parents would pull out the red carpet for a friend that comes over vs how they treated us that day when the friend was present. But that was Roscoe’s home life. RJ Senior prob didn’t feel comfortable being as hard on Clyde as his son.

Since then, he did Bad Boys 2, Runteldat, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, etc and he was the same old Martin then I'm sure he does have medical conditions, but he's a 60 year old man who probably never was the epitomy of good health or healthy living. I don't think its a singular "stroke" that caused this.
