The screenplay, co-written by Coppola, John Milius, and Michael Herr, is loosely inspired by the 1899 novella Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, with the setting changed from late 19th-century Congo to the Vietnam War.
What are your guys’ thoughts on the Apocalypse Now: Final Cut transfer? Other than a few scenes at the beginning where it’s grainy (perhaps by intention or perhaps by product of 1970s editing techniques) I think it’s an amazing 4k!
