That tetralogy – plus the “Bacchanale” from Samson et Delila , The Carnival of the Animals , and the score to the film L’Assassinat du duc de Guise – are part of a substantial new, all-Saint-Saëns recording from François-Xavier Roth and Les Siècles.

Encore aujourd’hui, le Carnaval des animaux , le Rouet d’Omphale , la Danse macabre ou encore sa Symphonie n°3 avec orgue (pour ne citer que quelques « tubes ») sont régulièrement enregistrés et figurent tout aussi régulièrement au programme des concerts.
