Compared to the Snowberry Clearwing, which is just 2 inches long, Hummingbirds are much larger. This is one of the easiest ways to tell if you are looking at a moth or a hummingbird.

  6. Hace 4 días · I was able to sneak up for a photo of this well camouflaged creature, and it turned out to be a moth: a White-Lined Sphinx (Hyles lineata). Another name for this is Hummingbird Moth because of its large size (wingspan 2-3 inches) and flight pattern. It certainly did fool me at first.
