If you were a ‘cat’ in the 1950’s, a guy with a decent apartment in a major American or Euro city, who enjoyed the finer things of the day, had perhaps tried red wine, ate at a Chinese restaurant, and above all owned a turntable and two speakers, you probably owned a Chet Baker LP.
