17 de may. de 2024 · The Polish language is a West Slavic language that descends from Proto-Slavic and, ultimately, from Proto-Indo-European. Its roots can be traced back to around the year 500 CE, with the emergence of Proto-Slavic. By 1000 CE, Proto-Slavic had diverged into three separate branches: West-Slavic, South-Slavic, and East-Slavic.
