Next to him is a bearskin-hatted guardsman break dancing painted by Argentine painter Martin Ron in 2013.

Fascinating stuff, and from the Spectator of all things! How times change. This article misses out on my favourite anecdote about gay guardsman though. In November 1958, then-Parliamentary Under-Secretary at the Foreign Office Ian Harvey was arrested in St. James' Park in the company of a guardsman from the Coldstream Guards.
