He cracked Billboard’s top twenty with “Lover Come Back To Me” and on June 7, 1953, Cole performed in the historic “Cavalcade of Jazz” concert with Louis Armstrong and his All-Stars, Roy Brown, and others at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles.
