Peregrine Bertie, 13th Baron Willoughby de Eresby (12 October 1555 – 25 June 1601) was the son of Katherine Willoughby, 12th Baroness Willoughby de Eresby, and Richard Bertie. [1] Bertie was Lady Willoughby de Eresby's second husband, the first being Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk.

Baron Willoughby de Eresby ( / ˈwɪləbi ˈdɪərzbi / WIL-ə-bee DEERZ-bee) [2] is a title in the Peerage of England. It was created in 1313 for Robert de Willoughby. Since 1983, the title has been held by Jane Heathcote-Drummond-Willoughby, 28th Baroness Willoughby de Eresby .
Biography. Bertie did not become heir apparent to the earldom of Lindsey until 1704, on the death of his elder brother Robert. Quick to take advantage of his father’s influence in Lincolnshire, at the age of 22 he successfully contested the county alongside the Whig George Whichcot.
Both her baronetcy of Willoughby and the lordship of the manor of Barbican ultimately passed to her son, Peregrine Bertie, Lord Willoughby de Eresby (1555 – 1601). His will referred to his Manor as “Willoughby House or Barbican”.
