Hedwig of Formbach (c. 1058 – c. 1090) was the daughter of Frederick, count of Formbach and of Gertrude of Haldensleben, and heiress to Süpplingenburg Castle. She was the mother of Emperor Lothair II.

If Duke Simon's wife had been the daughter of Hedwig von Formbach, by an otherwise unknown first husband, she must have been born before 1072, considering that Hedwig gave birth to two children by her husband Gerhard von Süpplingenburg who died in 1075.
