  3. 1 de may. de 2024 · NEW YORK — Duane Eddy, a pioneering guitar hero whose reverberating electric sound on instrumentals such as "Rebel Rouser" and "Peter Gunn" helped put the twang in early rock 'n' roll and influenced George Harrison, Bruce Springsteen and countless other musicians, has died at age 86.

  6. 10 de feb. de 2007 · It includes work he did with "The Rebels" - Ry Cooder, Art Of Noise's Anne Jecasik, Paul McCartney, and others. I highly recommend it. "Spies" is extremely cool tune. "Theme..." is another great twangy tune. "Last Look Back" reminds us of the hero riding of into the sunset giving his last look back.

  7. Under Hazelwood’s tutelage, Eddy develops the simple but evocative twang sound from his own Chet Atkins-influenced guitar style. Together they record a long string of hit instrumentals, beginning with “Rebel-Rouser” (1958), which, features the raunchy, tenor saxophone of Steve Douglas.
