Hobart College is a co-educational senior high school for students in Years 11 and 12 (ages 16 – 19). Set amongst beautiful bushland, the school is a pathway for students to qualify for university, pursue further vocational education and training or enter employment.
Hobart College is a government comprehensive senior secondary school located in Mount Nelson, a suburb of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Established in 1913 as Hobart High School, it was later renamed as Hobart Matriculation College in 1965, and subsequently renamed as Hobart College.

Hobart College is a spacious campus set in bush land with views to Mount Wellington. The excellent facilities at Mt Nelson mean students are able to engage in a wide range of activities whilst on campus including an accessible gym with welcoming staff, a six hundred seat theatre, student lounge, campus radio station, a vibrant music and art department and comprehensive IT facilities.
Hobart College is situated on Mt Nelson/kriwalayti, easily accessible via the Southern Outlet, in Hobart. Approximately 1400 students attend the college and it has provided over 100 years of educational accessibility and excellence in Southern Tasmania.
• 17 Hobart College students achieved an outstanding achievement in academic and vocational programs from the Office of Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification (TASC). The College also has strong links with the University of Tasmania through the University Connections Program and the High Achiever Programs.
