Thomas Avery Whedon (August 3, 1932 – March 23, 2016) was an American screenwriter and producer from New York known for his work on television programs such as The Golden Girls, Benson, Alice, It's a Living, and The Dick Cavett Show.
Tom Whedon was born on 3 August 1932 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a producer and writer, known for The Golden Girls (1985), The Electric Company (1971) and Between the Lions (1999). He was married to Pamela Merriam Webber and Ann Lee Jeffries. He died on 23 March 2016 in the USA.
