Govan High School is a secondary school situated in Govan, Glasgow, Scotland. It opened on its current site in 1969 and in 2010 it celebrated its centenary, with Sir Alex Ferguson (a former pupil) and Paul wilson attending the event.
Govan High School is a non-denominational, co-educational, comprehensive school that caters for pupils aged 12-18. The school can trace its history back to 1874, although the name Govan High dates from 1 February 1910.
In Govan High School we strive to ensure that all young people achieve their full potential. Through our delivery of Curriculum for Excellence we ensure that pupils experience a broad general education which delivers breadth, depth and challenge in learning until the end of their third year.
