There are two types of college diplomas: a two-year pre-university diploma or a three-year vocational training diploma. A Diploma of College Studies is a university prerequisite for Quebec high school graduates, unless applying as a mature student.
Quebec's system of college education results in multiple types college degrees with diplomas. In the CEGEP -era, pre-university programs result in "diplomas", as do technical studies that result in associate degree analogues, while the vocational programs result in "attestations".
Diploma of College Studies (DCS/DEC) Cégep à distance is a member of the Québec college system and is subject to the same laws and obligations as any other conventional CEGEP. The admission requirements described below are therefore identical to those of other CEGEPs.
